Do you love animals? If so, PetPeople FranchiseSystems Inc. wants you. The company already has 11 franchisesin California and Ohio, and hopes to expand its chain of pet foodand supply stores to cities across California and the Midwest."This is the ideal franchise," says PetPeoplefounder/president Gregg Morris, "for a pet lover who wouldenjoy helping others provide the best care for theirpets."
Running a successful staffing firm wasn't enough for BobFunk. The chairman and CEO of Express PersonnelServices Inc. recently added cattle ranching to hiscompany's roster. Funk is now offering franchisees Limousincattle, which are genetically designed without horns, to raise andsell. Already, Express Ranches have attracted nearly 50 franchiseesfrom Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, the United States andseveral European countries. Though personnel services and cattleranching may seem worlds apart, Funk points out one majorconnection: In both businesses, he says, "I'm transferringthe knowledge I've gained in business."
