"Build it and they will come" is not a strategy for entrepreneurs. To be successful, businesses need to catch the eyes of customers. They need to let the world know about their products and services. They need to market. And in a world where we spend more time perusing the web, entrepreneurs should be focusing their resources on how to get the attention of people online.

Fortunately, we have Aaron Agius to give us a helping hand. His colleague in the marketing space, Sujan Patel, called him "one of the world's top digital marketers" in a recent Forbes article. And while Agius loves the compliment, he sees himself as more of a growth marketer, or a "fusion between search, content, social and PR." Agius has been able to leverage the massive distribution opportunities online to help big-name businesses grow.

His agency, Louder Online, has worked with a number of global companies, including Salesforce, IBM and Coca Cola – with these leading companies seeing results. According to Agius, his agency was able to increase organic visitors to IBM's Business Insights blog by 50 percent in four months, boosted organic traffic to Salesforce's Developer Blog by 30 percent in nine days and also trained Target's marketing team on SEO and content-marketing strategies.

As someone who got his start with only $100 and an online course about Adwords, Agius is excited to help out aspiring founders.

"I want to help entrepreneurs because I know that good online teachers can mean the difference between success and failure -- and I want to be that teacher," he says.

Prior to founding Louder Online, the Australian spent many years working in various positions in marketing, technical and data.

Because of his extensive knowledge base, Agius has been a featured contributor at Entrepreneur.com, Hubspot, Content Marketing Institute and Search Engine Journal, among others.

Lucky for us, he is Entrepreneur's Ask the Expert for the month of December and Agius is looking forward to assisting people with marketing questions.

"Nobody succeeds alone. We all learn from those around us, whether we're studying from teachers, reading content from online experts or watching others in our boats succeed or fail," he says. "I think it's important for experts and mentors to give back as a way of saying thank you to all of those who have guided us along the way."

Agius is looking to take your questions pertaining to growth marketing, including SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, pay-per-click campaigns and ecommerce optimization.
