Here are three tips about becoming a franchisee from The Franchisee Handbook by Mark Siebert.

Don't buy a franchise intending to fix a business that is broken. Franchising is a means of expanding a business that is already highly successful.
A franchise should never be an impulse or emotional purchase. Set specific goals and choose the best franchise opportunity that will help you achieve them.
When you buy a franchise, you are not buying the product. You are investing in the business system, so make sure you fall in love with it more than the product.
