Singapore-based AlcoBev company Loca Loka has raised USD 12.5 million from undisclosed investors associated with a Singapore-based family office. The capital infusion is expected to support the company's research and development efforts for portfolio expansion while accelerating its global presence.

The funding also aligns with Loca Loka's broader ambition of establishing itself as a prominent player in the international tequila market.

Founded by entrepreneur Harsha Vadlamudi, along with Indian actor Rana Daggubati and music composer Anirudh Ravichander, Loca Loka aims to introduce a contemporary approach to tequila by blending craftsmanship with storytelling.

Harsha Vadlamudi, Founder and CEO of Loca Loka said, "This funding round represents a pivotal moment in our journey at Loca Loka. As we navigate the dynamic and rapidly evolving global tequila landscape, this strategic investment validates our vision and the incredible potential of our brand portfolio.

Since its successful debut in the USA and South East Asia in 2024 with its two flagship products- Tequila Blanco and Tequila Reposado, Loca Loka has captivated tequila enthusiasts. The company has since expanded into major US cities, including Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, as well as Singapore, leveraging rising global demand for premium spirits.

"At Loca Loka, our journey transcends traditional business metrics. We're deeply cognizant that our success is a symphonic collaboration—a testament to the brilliant minds who breathe life into our vision every single day," Rana Daggubati, Co-Founder – Loca Loka added.

The tequila market is witnessing significant growth, with global projections estimating an increase from USD 14.13 billion in 2024 to USD 15.83 billion in 2025, and a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.26 per cent through 2030.

India's tequila market, in particular, is expected to see a faster growth rate of 12.69 per cent between 2025 and 2033, driven by evolving consumer preferences, the rise of cocktail culture, and increasing demand for premium spirits.

Loca Loka has outlined an ambitious expansion plan for 2025, targeting key international markets, including the UK, India, Dubai, the Philippines, and Indonesia, alongside further expansion within the U.S. into cities such as Las Vegas, Miami, and Washington, D.C.

The company is also working on integrating its products into global travel retail channels, including duty-free stores, as part of its market penetration strategy.
