OMD's ninth annual conference, OMD Predicts, is back. With the theme of 'Inspire,' the conference will be held on September 19 at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai. With a focus on digital transformation and how brands can really target consumers, the event will be headlined by marketing expert Omar Johnson, who will discuss about harnessing the "purchase power of the connected consumer for marketing transformation."

Johnson is an entrepreneur and marketing coach, as well as the former CMO at Beats by Dre, and former VP Marketing at Apple. Besides garnerning a number of accolades in the marketing and branding industry, under his tenure, Beats grew from US$180 million to a $1.1 billion icon and became a leader in the headphones industry in North America, UK, France, Germany, South Korea and Singpore.

A peek at what's in store at the event? From the transformation of business, to how technology has digitized lifestyles and how brands can target consumer behavior, to pushing towards emerging tech- these are some of the issues that will be discussed.

Launched in 2007, the annual event aims to keep marketers up to date on emerging trends in the industry. OMD CEO Nadim Samara commented in a statement: "The ninth edition of OMD Predicts is designed to future-proof our partners' strategies by exploring what marketing transformation means to us all, and where it's taking us. Together, we can step up the marketing game."
