Enerwhere
DANIEL ZYWIETZ, FOUNDER AND CHAIRMAN, ENERWHERE

Enerwhere uses data analytics, solar, and storage to bring clean power to commercial and industrial customers and decarbonize the temporary power market. Its modular solar-hybrid microgrids save 30-50% of diesel consumption and carbon emissions, compared to conventional diesel generators. Its offering is available as a service within 2-3 weeks from contract signature, on short-term contracts (starting from six months), while alternative solutions take much longer to implement (months or years), and require clients to make much longer-term commitments (typically at least 10 years).

  • FOUNDED IN: 2012
  • SECTOR: Renewable

"Temporary and off-grid power, running largely on expensive and polluting diesel generators, is responsible for 1.5-2.0 million tons of carbon dioxide per year, or 1% of the UAE's total annual greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions are highly concentrated in some of the UAE's key growth industries, including the construction, mining, and oil and gas sectors. Enerwhere is leading the decarbonization of these markets with its combination of data analytics and mobile solar-hybrid systems, which are available on fully-financed, short-term contracts. Scaling up Enerwhere's proven solar-hybrid systems has the potential to reduce these emissions by 30-50% by 2025, and 80-100% by 2030."
